In Cub Scouting, every Scout follows the same six-year trail. Each year
they work on a rank, the level named for their
den, from Lion in kindergarten to Arrow of Light in 5th grade. They earn
it by completing adventures: hands-on activities
like crafting, science projects, the outdoors, team-building, and games.
Tap any rank below to see what that year holds.
Brand-new to Scouting, Lions learn through play, songs, and their
five senses. Every Lion joins with an adult partner,
a parent or grown-up who comes to each meeting and does the
activities right alongside them. Together they take their first
hikes, make crafts, meet new friends, and discover what it means to
be a Cub Scout.
